I thought back in August I’d be able to pull off sessions the first half of December and possibly even a round of Half Priced Minis.
It was so cold. Even the November Minis were super cold! Just call me a newbie, because I am.
Baby man just turned one last month and didn’t mind the low temps one bit. They don’t look like its low 40s, but I was behind the camera with a hat, gloves and a lumberjack jacket (as my neighbor calls it, she has one too!).
This was my very first session at Leesylvania State Park. Ironic because it’s the very first location I scoped out. Its got something to offer year round, with lots of variety in a very small area, including river banks and a dock.
The best part: Its not an hour drive for me!
After a long Thanksgiving break with no sessions, I’ve all but forgotten about maintain Instagram and my blog. I am just ready for rest.
We’ve had back to back sports seasons with our boys for the first time, and our homeschool is in a constant state of adjusting fire. Oh, and we got a dog. The fall has been one of those “nothing has changed, but everything has changed” kind of seasons. We do all or normal things, just all completely differently in a different part of the world. #nobigdeal
Every PCS I forget how long the adjustment period lasts. I’m pretty sure it took 6 months to a year in Okinawa, a solid six months in Alabama. This month marks six months in Northern Virginia, so maybe we’re in the home stretch.
So here’s to rest! I’m expecting the Virginia winter to be slow to non existent for photos, aside from at least one round of mini sessions in the snow!! Jump on the Waitlist for that! Naturally, it’ll be very last minute. As a mom of 4 wild and crazy boys, I'm a master tickler and potty talk enthusiast. I live for the challenge of bringing a fun atmosphere to family photos! Grumpy two-year-old? Send ‘em my way! I’m looking for connection, not perfection. Currently living in Quantico, VA; serving the surrounding Stafford, Woodbridge, Occoquan and surrounding Northern Virginia area. Let's get in touch!
