You don’t need a style house
Most people seem to be scared of the way their house looks and completely put off by the idea, more especially in the whirlwind of a new baby. But no one expects a magazine ready house. These photos aren’t for Southern Living, they’re for YOU.
Perks of in home newborn photos:
- You don’t leave the house
- You have everything you need at home
- You only need 2 rooms minimum
- Declutter means throw it in a box and hide it behind a door.
What rooms to use in a newborn session at home:
- Nursery
- Living room
- Master bedroom (optional)
- I always include a family shot in front of the house too for posterity!
How to prepare your house for a newborn session at home:
Declutter. Don’t worry about dust, or shoes at the door. Just clear the corner of dog toys and the surfaces of mail and dishes.
I literally mean to shove it in another room. I won’t see it and even I do, I don’t care.
