A doula works during the day and helps to cook, clean, do laundry, other household chores, maybe even care for older siblings so mom can focus. She might also allow mom to nap during the day but relieving the pressure of chores to be done. She’s also skilled in newborn can and can support lactation, transition and baby care in general.
